I have enjoyed Dr. Gertner for all the years he has been here. He has cared for me through my healthy and early days with him and through these recent years of my difficult and failing times (none of which was his default but rather my personal failing health). I and my family, who knows how good he is and how committed to his patient he is, will truly miss his departure. All our best and good fortunes to him and his family!

Only issue with IHA is sometimes not being able to get in soon to see your Dr. However, I like that they can usually find another Dr. or PA to see you in a timely manner.

He didn't really seem to be that invested in the conversation and his listening skills seemed to be lacking. I get that I'm not one of his primary patients but still, a little more courteousness and listening would be in order. My advice to him would just be to smile and listen a little more to what patients have to say, and try to read between the lines / have some emotional intelligence to understand that patients may have concerns which they feel less comfortable bringing up when the provider has a cold, business-like air about him. Would not recommend
