She listens to me and has patience while I'm talking about something. Will research what I am explaining and gives me feedback right then on the issue.

Part of medical practice is empathy and interaction should be genuine. Practitioner showed no interest in any other aspect of patient except the main complaint-shoulder. Did not engage with any other part of patients comments, showed no reaction or empathy when patient mentioned she was a caregiver for her daughter with terminal cancer. Need to treat the patient as a whole and at least show some personality.

I picked Dr Cox because she is a DO. She seems to be very smart which I appreciate. I find the medical field as a whole is selling something I'm not buying.

Dr. Emily is wonderful. I never feel rushed. She listens well, explains things clearly and takes the time to be sure that I understand her responses to my questions or concerns. She’s concise and level headed about any issues I have. I feel I comfortable with her judgement and opinions.

Biggest thing overall is lack of friendliness. The interaction was cold and unwelcoming and like I was a waste of time. There was no personal touch.. barely an introduction and this was my first time meeting the Dr.

I just really felt like she wanted to get me in and out I mean, she didn’t seem to cut corners or anything, but I just felt like she would rather be anywhere else. She was nice and she gave me the antibiotics that I think I’ll need to get better, but I also kind of felt like she just wanted me out of the room. It was fine. It was efficient, but if she had to be my primary care doctor, I probably wouldn’t keep her because she just didn’t really seem to have the bedside manner. Again, she wasn’t rude or anything. She was just very direct and seemed like she was trying to get me in and out.

This is the second time I have seen Dr. Cox, after being a long time patient of Dr. Sperry. I think those were big shoes to fill, and Dr. Cox is hitting her groove now. She is very knowledgeable, and listens to your concerns.

she actually sits down and looks at you when she is talking to you, she has never appeared rushed, and is very thorough, so nice for a provider to walk in the room and treat you like a person instead of a hindrance.
