I had two consultations regarding my sciatic nerve condition. The first consultation was with Dr. De la Garza. Dr. De la Garza stated I needed surgery but offered absolutely no explanation of the MRI nor explanation of the surgical procedure. When I pressed Dr. De la Garza for the surgery procedure, he stated the physician's assistant would call me prior to surgery and explain the procedure. I was highly incensed that when we were face to face in the examination room that Dr. De la Garza ignored my simple request.
My second consultation with Dr. Griffin was a totally different experience. Dr Griffin displayed the MRI and explained the problem in detail and the technical aspects of procedure he recommended to cure the problem. According to the research I conducted on the internet, Dr. Griffin's proposed procedure aligned with the recommended modern techniques and procedure recommended for to correct my condition.
I was extremely comfortable going forward with Dr. Griffin performing the surgery. Post -surgery, my outcome has been marvelous.

I was nervous about back surgery but tired of the sciatica nerve making my leg hurt. He explained clearly after looking at mri and xray and visiting with my wife and I that he didn’t believe surgery was called for to give it a little more time to heal. I agreed because it is getting better. I think that Dr Griffin and Caitlin are special people.

All seemed well with no problems, I liked his personality and he was easy to talk with about my medical issues and that's what I liked the most. Very straight forward Dr. I believe he will do his best to care for my herniated disc ect.in my neck.!!!

It’s hard anytime. You go see a new doctor. They don’t know you and all they have is notes in a computer. So it’s gonna take time for him to get to know me, but I feel like he did a great job. I was just in the waiting room too long, that was my most difficult waiting time.
