We have done mini food challenges, but this was the first time we have been with Dr. Devonshire. She was wonderful to work with and and made sure we fully understood what to expect for the day. And when we decided to not move forward with the challenge, she was very supportive and came up with another idea to make use of the appointment.

Dr. Evans is very personable and reasonable when it comes to allergies. She seems to truly care about her patients and improving their quality of life. You can tell she is very knowledgeable in her field but also very good with her patients and their families in terms of communication

Dr. Evans is AMAZING! My daughter had a reaction during her peanut challenge and Dr. Evans was super compassionate and understand with all of my feelings. She had my daughter’s safety as her #1 priority. She wanted to make sure she was safe first before just telling me a bunch of information. Once I felt comfortable we sat and had conversations of everything and how we want to move forward with her allergy. She is even calling me today to just debrief about yesterday. I couldn’t recommend Dr. Evans more! She’s phenomenal and loves her patients like they’re her own. She’s super good with my daughter and loves to see her smile. Cincinnati Children’s is lucky to have her on the Allergy team!

The doctors (fellows and Dr. Abonia) spent a significant amount of time reviewing my daughter's records, taking an extensive history, and examining her. They related well to her as a teen, and she felt validated as a result of them talking with her, rather than to just us.

Our overall experience was amazing with the entire team! My daughter was very nervous to do allergy testing. The team prepared her and were patient with her. Also, the nurse involved in her care requested to have child life go to my daughter’s blood draw with us. This helped my daughter immensely.

Our allergy appointment was on time, every person who entered the room came in with a smile. Our nurse was amazing with our child, brought him toys, even walked him through the halls when he needed a break from the room. Dr. Devonshire was thorough, caring, and explained things to us in a way that was easy to understand. We felt included in every step of the appointment.

Our graduation appointment from oral immunotherapy. Our normal provider was sick. The office was still able to accommodate our appointment, the provider worked very hard to ensure my daughter was comfortable. They celebrated her achievement and it really meant a lot to us.

Dr. Abonia provided so much new information; it was immediately clear that he saw the whole picture of my illness where others have only seen my many individual symptoms, shrugged, and sent me on my way. His expertise was immediately evident, as was the level of care he and his nurse provided. Dr. Abonia popped his head in the door to let me know he’d be with me in a minute. He immediately completed paperwork for medications while I was in the office so I could sign the necessary papers before leaving. He knew where to send my prescription for the best chance of getting it covered and took care of that for me. He mentioned having read my file on Monday and was obviously familiar with it when we spoke. He even explained the process for completing a test he ordered, a step most doctors skip. I’m used to adult care, and this was above and beyond even the best quality care I’ve received since “graduating” from Cincinnati Children’s care almost 30 years ago. My deepest gratitude to Dr. Abonia for seeing me as an adult. He may be rescuing me from 10 years of limited information, hardly any treatment, and very little hope.

Dr Evans’ and her nurse were wonderful. They made sure to answer any questions, cover all information, and even make sure my 6 year old daughter understood what they were doing and when during her allergy testing scratch test. They took their time with us and didn’t push for any decisions that day. They sent us home with great information on her allergies and the next steps that are available to us.
