Dr. Chitwood was so empathetic. She was a great listener and did not rush our visit at all. And, I have to say it was the least painful well woman exam I have ever had.

Was there anything that you feel was outstanding?
The receptionist was friendly, cheerful and helpful with checking me in! The nurse who got me ready for the visit was friendly, cordial and professional in nature. Dr Chitwood is easy to talk with and listens to my concerns. Her concern and bedside manner is excellent!! I look forward to my visits with her!!

Honestly, Chitwood was an amazing doctor. She made a very difficult appointment comfortable and informative. I am very happy I decided to change to BJC.

Dr Abigail Chitwood is OUTSTANDING!! I just love her, she is wonderful in her care, very professional and very personable!! Also love her nurse, she’s Terrific!! Also very personable and professional! They BOTH just make you feel VERY COMFORTABLE.

Dr Chitwood and her assistant always go above and beyond in care. They are great communicators and always listen to concerns or questions. I highly recommend them.

Dr Chitwood is excellent. She explains everything in detail and listens to details and questions intently. Her Nurse was very professional and kind.

Was there anything that you feel was outstanding?
I love Dr Chitwood! She listens to my concerns and has a plan to address them. She respects me as a person, a woman, and a patient. She clearly stays up on women’s issues and research, and I feel like she gives me everything I need to make an educated decision for my care. She is also a very sweet, caring person, and I feel totally comfortable in her care.
What could have been done to improve your experience?
I waited a few minutes longer than usual, but she acknowledges it’s because she talks with her patients instead of rushing through appointments. I will gladly wait to see her if she treats every other woman the way she treats me.

Was there anything that you feel was outstanding?
Dr. Chitwood did a great job of explaining and asking questions regarding my care. She was attentive and thoughtful and I felt that my goals for my pregnancy and delivery mattered. Anna was also so thoughtful and kind. As a team they made me feel like I was receiving the best possible care and will be in good hands for the remainder of my pregnancy.
What could have been done to improve your experience?
I have no complaints. Everything was great!

Was there anything that you feel was outstanding?
Dr Chitwood exceeds all of my expectations. She is one of my most favorite doctors and I rave about her all the time. Her willingness to truly listen and offer advice is exceptional. I highly recommend her to all of my friends. I truly value her as as a trusted doctor. She never makes me feel rushed and made me feel so much better about understanding my HRT options. We need more doctors like her.

Was there anything that you feel was outstanding?
Yes, Dr. Chitwood was absolutely wonderful. She took the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and made me feel very comfortable. Her compassion and professionalism stood out.
What could have been done to improve your experience?
Wait time to see the provider was ridiculous. If running behind it would be nice to call patients and let them know instead of sitting in an exam room starring at the wall.

Dr Chitwood is ALWAYS extraordinary. I have no doubt I am in the very best hands, even with our high risk pregnancy. She is relatable, knowledgeable, supportive, and super responsive to messages. I love her and am so glad she's my OB!

My postpartum visit Dr. Chitwood was great. She was incredibly supportive and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. I really appreciated how she took the time to listen, answer my questions, and reassure me during this stage of recovery. It was clear she truly cares, and that made such a difference in helping me feel seen, supported.

Nothing was extraordinary. It was to be expected. On time.
What could have been done to improve your experience?
Dr chitwood made me feel very rushed. She clearly didnt look at my history. I hope this experience will guide her in the care of future patients. I will be finding a different provider. My two interactions with her have not been positive.

This whole practice is great and I truly enjoy seeing Dr. Chitwood and staff. I always feel listened to and respected, and both of them take the time needed to explain every procedure, decision, or recommendation that they are making. Dr Chitwood spends so much time checking in with me not just as a patient but as a person and I am so grateful that both my baby and I are in her care.
