This was the third scope of my throat I've had but this particular one used a different kind of spray to numb my nose and throat. The technician didn't say anything prior to administering the spray about how it would make me feel like I couldn't swallow or the degree it would make those muscles numb. For patients like me who have had swallowing difficulties and have even choked several times, it's very unnerving to suddenly and unexpectedly feel like you can't swallow.

Dr. [ ] and Dr. Simpson were well informed about my case. They were not rushed in examining me or in answering all of my questions and those of my wife and daughter. They carefully explained their recommended plan of treatment and answered all of the many question that I, my wife, and my daughter asked. That is very much appreciated. They both have superb credentials.
