I was recently in Crown Point hospital due to an emergency. I had a follow up appointment with Dr. Champion a few days later. Dr. Champion took the time to go over each of the items on my discharge paperwork, from referral to a neurologist, medication changes and my concerns. I have had a few doctors through Franciscan, but Dr. Champion is by far the most caring, personable and thorough physician I have ever had.

Dr.Champion was very nice and sweet. She made me feel very welcomed and a calming energy so being that it’s been awhile since I’ve went to the doctors it was nice to have someone who made it seem like they cared!

She is uniquely memorable in the most favorable way...she's candid, honest, sincere, thorough, and has a most comforting aura about herself that outs you immediately at ease. She SEES ME, and at my age as a senior black woman, that is EVERYTHING!

She listens, and very much cares about your problems. Very kind. My son went with me to my last visit. Upon entering the room she had never met him before , but she walked right up to him and introduced herself and shook his hand. He has been taking car of me for the last two months after surgery. She didn't ignore him, that meant a lot to me.
