Provider was very informative. He took his time with explaining everything(didn't feel rushed). First time, that I could ever remember, someone throughly explaining my back condition, while looking at current x-rays. Outstanding service.

This marks my third visit with Dr. Calvin Spellmon, Jr., and my interactions with Dr. Spellmon and his staff remain consistently positive and highly satisfactory. I was particularly pleased with the prompt telephone response following my text message regarding sudden, severe neck and upper shoulder pain; not only did they contact me, but they also accommodated me with an appointment on the same day. Dr. Spellmon and his staff epitomized exceptional healthcare, consistently demonstrating kindness, friendliness, compassion, patience, care, and courtesy throughout my visit. Since my initial visit several months ago, I have experienced a sense of comfort and trust with Dr. Spellmon. Dr. Spellmon was exceptionally kind and patient in listening to my concerns, even though I tend to overexplain, and he kindly answered all my questions. I am extremely satisfied with Dr. Spellmon and the staff of the UAB Sports and Exercise Medicine Clinic at St. Vincent's 119, and I wholeheartedly recommend their services.

My experience with the clinic staff & doctors was A1. Every was nice & courteous & really catered to my needs. I've never been to a clinic that made me feel that comfortable and I knew that they were there to take care of my needs. I was really impressed.

The "check in" procedure is excessive, especially considering the majority was completed "online" prior to the appointment date. I was directed to THREE different desks to "check in" before receiving any service. I am able bodied and could easily walk place to place. Considering this is a clinic that specializes in "injury" treatment, there should be a more user friendly way of handling the patients Good thing Dr. Spellmon is such an EXCELLENT physician. He is the ONLY reason I dealt with the rest.
