My visit with April was a game changer. My husband sees another Dr. in the Trinity system and he wanted me to join his practice. After talking with April Butler I realized that she was where I wanted to have my medical needs attended to. Really nice person who looks you in the eye and is straight up with me.

Dr. Butler was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, professional - and spent a great deal of time getting up to speed on my medical history and helping formulate a plan for my continuing healthcare needs. She was also able to immediately diagnose a "mystery" rash on my back.

Like I said just was shocked and how I was handled again I know that I have mental health concerns and I know that I am seen by Mental Health for those concernments and they are well managed so her addressing my mental health diagnosis had nothing to do with why I was seeing her and then even discussing medication she did not want to refill any of my medications nor did she want to even entertain the idea of prescribing me a Gabapentin that I was on in Tennessee but because I had ran out of refills I asked her if she would be willing to write me a prescription for that and she said no so I am again just if it's not a controlled substance up here in Michigan and I use it for pain because of the nodules my lower back pain because I have nodules on my spine and then I also have numbness and tingling that go in my arms my fingers and so if she had just taken a few moments to actually focus on what I needed her to focus on instead of reverting back to my mental health I think maybe we would have been better off and maybe we would have gotten things set up better I don't really know because again her answer to everything was let's wait for all the medical records to come back and then we'll go from there and also I didn't understand why I was signing a medical release form for my mental health records when again I'm not being seen for her for mental health reasons I was just very disappointed in the professionalism I have not been treated this way in a very long time by a medical professional and it is a huge disappointment to see that we are in the year 2025 and some people still act like we're in the year 1995
