Dr. Burton did not ask about my health goals or concerns. I asked about weight loss assistance, and she referred me for bariatric surgery and said the office staff didn’t have time to do pre-authorization paperwork for my insurance. I got the impression that she was out of her depth and anxious to power through the appointment as quickly as possible. She did not explore options or provide insight, but rather referred me to an ambulatory bariatric surgery center so they could do the pre-authorization paperwork and talk about options. She implied that I should gain 5 more lbs in order to reach the BMI threshold to get surgery. I came to appointment prepared with research and the specific information needed for my insurance, and she was interested in neither. It felt as though she had a vested interest in sending me down the surgery route, and indicated that patients are rarely successful with other forms of medical weight loss support, so surgery is really the only appropriate option. Overall I left the appointment feeling as though my concerns were dismissed, my goals were invalid, and I was being sent to another provider as quickly as possible. I have had the same impression from other providers in the office, including my PCP, a fam currently seeking another office for my medical care. Dr. Burton is very nice and I’m sure she’s a lovely person, but her care was hurried, dismissive, and uninterested.

My son lives in a group home and she had called me to goober my sons treatment plan. And very nice and professional on the phone. Greatly appreciate her.

She is very personable, and puts me at ease. I read my physical notes and she was very complete. I take the notes she writes and the advise she gives and use it as plan for the next year. Example, I have met my activity goal each day so far this year, I increased my walking by 60%.

I felt stupid after our conversation.She made me repeat everything that I had gone over with the nurse instead of looking in my file.The post office summary said I presented with no symptoms..Why would I be in there if I didn’t have some health concerns?

I had a sick and very upset toddler, Dr Burton made the exam into fun which made things easier on my child and also on myself so I didn't have to deal with an even more upset sick kiddo. I have sen Dr. Burton twice now when my child has been ill and I was impressed with her before. I will look to schedule sick visits with her if my primary is not available.

I had lab work done following apt and was told I would get a call back to explain and go over results and discuss if it had anything to do with my symptoms. Ive still not recieved a call.

I went there to talk about weight management of the three shots that out out there for weight loss. She went straight into wanting me to have bariatric surgery. She knows that I have multiple myeloma and cannot have my stomach cut in half. She never talked about the weight loss drugs to which I came there to discuss.
