Dr. Keyser is an exceptional retina specialist who thoroughly assesses the test data from previous visits and compares that data with current test results, at each visit, prior to proceeding with the current visit's procedures. Following administration of injection, carefully examines injected eye to ascertain physical result. Additionally, Dr Keyser is quite patient interactive, responding to questions in an understandable way. Alternative meds are also discussed and reviewed, always permitting the patient to provide input.

Dr. Keyser gave me a shot after showing me how my retina was a bit swollen since the last appointment. I don't feel he just willy-nilly gives me a shot unless there is evidence that warrants it or he judges that the benefit of a shot at that time may be of some benefit. My understanding is that there are questions about the medicine's effectiveness at any rate. What I'm trying to say is: I don't think he will give me a shot unless he feels there clearly could be a chance it would be beneficial.
After the shot, there was pain throughout the day (that I treated with Systane without a lot of success), but by bedtime the pain was pretty much gone, and by the next morning, it was completely gone. I consider that a really good visit.

Dr. Keyser is amazingly meticulous. He assesses the test data during each visit and notes current status and progress. He also considers and suggests optional medications to determine whether the options might provide a longer-lasting beneficial effect. I have recommended him to those of my relatives and close friends in need of superior AMD treatment and will continue to do so.

You could not choose a better retina doctor than Dr. Keyser and his staff. They are extremely professional and compassionate. Dr. keyser's retina exams are very thorough and he gives his patients a lot of quality time while the patient is with him.
