THis is an unusual circumstance, as I am switching surgeons at the last minute due to my surgeon's having to have surgery. The staff and the surgeon were particularly sympathetic in light of this last minute switch. It's reassuring.

My experience with Dr. Chalmers was excellent. I was seen earlier than expected and my wait time was minimal. Dr. Chalmers took his time with me, went over my x-ray films, and explained my condition and his treatment plan.

Prior to surgery, he thoroughly explained and answered all questions of the planned procedure. Surgery day was as expected and he came to speak with my husband and I before and after the procedure.

Dr Chalmers is terrific ! He spent a great deal of time with me: examination, explanation of my current condition wih use of xrays, all aspects of explanation of upcoming procedure, also using xrays Answered all my questions completely. Prescribed medication for my current pain, Thorough explanation of preparation for the procedure.
He went above and beyond, as did the members of his team. I feel very grateful and fortunate to evin his hands for my forthcoming hip replacement !

I have nothing but good things to say about HSS. From the first time I walked through the door everyone was very professional and polite. I had both knees replaced with absolutely no issues. I am so happy I chose HSS for this procedure. I would highly recommend HSS.

Hospital staff and employees were very professional kind courteous. Dr. Chalmers office was exceptionally informative and they listen to everything that I had to ask and explain things thoroughly. Very happy I decided to come to HSS.

Based on this visit and good things I’ve heard from other people who have had surgery by Dr. Chalmers, I am proceeding with my surgery.
Everyone was incredibly nice. Dr. Chalmers assistant (maybe his name was Justin [ ] ?) was excellent explaining my knee anatomy and recommendations to me.

I have had numerous Knee Surgeries TWO (2) TKR over the past (10) years & Four (4)
less invasive knee surgeries when I was much younger. My most recent TKR back in March, 2025 was done be Dr. Brian Chalmers & it was the most successful knee surgery that I’ve had. Dr. Chalmers & his entire staff from Receptionist to Surgeon
we’re the most professional group that I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with, bar none. I would highly recommend HSS & Dr. Chalmers & his team above all others.

My wife and I have been to many doctors and facilities over the years. I would rate yours as the best in my life. The facility is impressive, the staff is extraordinary! Everyone was helpful and seemed happy to help. They seemed to enjoy their job! We were extremely impressed with everything and everyone we had the pleasure to meet. You are definitely doing something right with your staff. Thank you for such an experience.

I called Dr. Chalmers office to make a 6 weeks follow-up appointment. I complained that the doctor did not visited my bedside after my procedure. In Less that 10 minutes I received a call from Dr Chalmers, unfortunately I was resting and didn't answer the call. The doctor then sent me a warm message to let me know he was there pointing out key things he noticed while visiting. Due to the fact that I was alert, I did not remembered his visit. My family confirmed the doctors visit and said how professional he and his staff were. Thanks to the best surgeon!!
