As I’ve noted before, having retired from academic medicine (UCSF) , I am very familiar with medical practitioners and the services delivered.
Bonnie Ferrara is one of the best primary care practitioners I’ve ever had. Period. Renown Health Systems is very fortunate to have her on their staff.

Dr Bonnie Ferrara is a wonderful and a great listening doctor. I'm going to miss her after 01/01/2027. I've been told Renown won't accept patients out-of-network. I'm one of them.

Dr. Ferrara is not my normal primary care physician, but she was able to work me into the schedule and see me outside of my normal regular annual appointment. And I was very grateful for that. She was very thorough in her questioning, trying to draw a timeline and came up with a treatment plan and assured me that she would provide that information back to my normal primary care physician. So I thought overall the visit went very well.

Dr Ferrara is amazing. Always on time, always listens carefully and views me with respect. She also thoroughly explains things to me, cites recent studies, and takes time to explain processes for specialists. I trust her implicitly and hope she stays in Reno for many more years.
