Dr Blanc was unprofessional and uncaring. After being under the care of Dr Velez for several years, I was looking forward to getting a fresh prospective on quality of life after 13 surgeries, chemo and radiation. From the moment Dr Blanc entered the room, he was arrogant and had no concern for how I was doing. He did not perform any exam, did not review my labs taken that day that came back abnormal, and said his feelings wouldn’t be hurt if I did not schedule my next appointment with him. He further states that Holy Cross “burns out” all their doctors so I should expect continued turnover with doctors on staff for my future appointments.

I was especially grateful that Dr. Blanc came up with a plan to manage my chronic anemia that promises to reduce the window between when I become anemic and when I get relief from IV iron infusions. He also prescribed vitamin B12, which so far appears to further reduce other troublesome symptoms and improve my quality of life, and he continues to investigate possible causes of my chronic anemia.

Both doctor Somon Blanc and Raszana came by to check on me numerous times. I had an allergic reaction to my chemotherapy treatment and they wanted check on ,me to see if I was ok.

Dr. Blanc was on call so I visited with Raszana Shoemaker, DNP who was very through going over my chart. I liked her very much. Hopefully I will meet Dr Blanc when I return in 6 months (he replaced Dr. Velez).

I got there at 12 for my 12:15 appointment. They took me within 2 minutes and did the workup immediately. When the nurse was done the doctor came in and we talked for at least 10 minutes. He was knowledgeable and honest. He had also done his homework, he knew my case intimately.
