Even though Dr Belzberg didn't know why my incision the herniated hematoma under my scar was still here after 3 months, he was very thorough in explaining his thoughts, ordered a Ultrasound and contacted me personally (My Chart) to explain the diagnosis and what not to do.

He had a very honest conversation with me as to what markers I should look for as to when I should escalate my level of care. He spoke plainly without being rude or condescending. He answered all of my questions and provided appropriate guidance.

He was uniquely qualified to address my nerve sheath tumor, encouraged me to get a second opinion from another expert at UPenn, discussed multiple options for the surgery, factored in the risks I wanted to take, and followed through with a surgical procedure that has greatly improved my quality of life. I feel very lucky to have found him!

Dr Belzberg is great at translating complicated health issues and terms into language that is easy to understand. He presents all options, as well as his professional opinion, but does not pressure you to make any decision you haven't thought through and are comfortable with.
