Dr. Purkable is very personable and makes you feel like she remembers everything (or she takes excellent notes in her charts and takes time to review them). She genuinely cares about your well being and will always listen to your concerns no matter how big or small. She can make you feel comfortable even during the most uncomfortable procedures.

LOVED my visit with Dr. Purkaple. She made me feel very comfortable and took plenty of time to explain everything in a way I could easily understand. She did NOT push vaccines which I greatly appreciated. She was interested in helping me treat the cause and not just the symptoms.

I would recommend any adult transgender patient that is lacking an adequate or knowledgeable provider to Dr. Purkaple. Her quality of care with me was not only astounding and respectful, but she was very knowledgeable on things like hormone replacement, medications, and bureaucratic issues transgender patients face, which is rare and sought-after. Most of the time, it is the patient that educates the doctor about these issues and requires a strong will for self-advocacy; with Dr. Purkaple, the reverse was true, which is how it should be.

Dr. Purkaple listens to my concerns and gives her advice and medical options. She pays attention to what you say and doesn't move to another topic until you are ready. Even though I know she is very busy, she spends time with me and I have never felt rushed.
