The Dr Battafarano was very thorough. He used my images to help us (me, son and daughter) to understand the surgical procedures, access points and type (VAT). He made me feel very comfortable, dispelling my anxiety about having such a serious surgery. He made me feel he is very confident in his area assuring I will get the best care that Hopkins has to offer.

My first appointment with Dr. Battafarano occurred in 2014, almost one year after lung cancer had been diagnosed. After investigation, he recommended and performed one surgery, and one year later, another. It has been my great advantage to continue the needed tests and follow-up in all the succeeding years with him. Great knowlege, explanation, help, recommendations, support - a brilliant physician, a wonderful doctor, and person as well. And I could go on and on...

I adore Dr Battafarano. He is the perfect surgeon in every way. I am most thankful to him for being able to perform a complicated surgery and he is ALWAYS pleasant. I am an OR nurse of many years. Best I have ever seen. Wish I could have worked with him.

The entire visit was very positive - from check in right through the actual visit with Dr. Battafarano. The nurse assistant - [staff] was very professional and competent. [staff], PA - C was wonderful. She explained everything and answered all of my questions. Dr. Battafarano was also great. He was patient and also listened to my concerns and questions. He was very thorough and both he and [staff] were well prepared before coming Into the exam room. They both knew all of my history and had studied my test results. I was very pleased with the entire experience.

He was very professional and knowledgeable. Scan results were shared and questions were answered. I finally received answers that I had been waiting for. He was also able to get a PET scan set up which should help in knowing more about the cancer and in getting a better biopsy. I appreciate everything that Dr. Battafarano has done so far and everything that everyone will do for me in the future to help me survive and thrive.

Dr Battafarano always has reviewed my recent CT scans (I have stage 4 metastatic colon cancer) and not only provides information about how my lung is healing (post surgery) but also explains a lot of the radiation report - and it's presented in such a way I can understand it.
