You’ve got a jewel in Dr. Baracco!

I had my first visit today with Dr. Gio Baracco at the University of Miami, and it was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had with a doctor. From the moment I walked in, he greeted me with a warm handshake… not like a typical rushed doctor, but more like meeting someone who actually cares. That set the tone right away. The whole consultation felt relaxed and genuine, like two people having a real conversation instead of just going through the motions. He made me feel heard, understood, and taken seriously. He kept great eye contact, listened without interrupting, and never once made me feel like just another name on a chart. You can tell he actually gives a damn, and that’s rare. What stood out even more was that he brought up ideas and angles that no other doctors have mentioned to me before. It gave me a lot of confidence that he’s really thinking and trying to find solutions, not just going through a routine. I wish more doctors had his bedside manner… but at the same time, it didn’t take away from my confidence in his ability at all. If anything, it made me trust him more. Although he introduced himself to me by his first name, I want to give him all the respect and credit in the world and say thank you, Dr. Baracco. Today was a pleasure.

Dr Gio is professional, while being personable and pleasant. He explains everything and comes up with solutions. I am very impressed with him; and he's not the first Infectious Disease doctor I've been to, but by far the most intelligent and helpful!

Honestly, both the in-office and virtual visit experiences are incredible. Dr. Baraco is the most amazing, professional, and caring physician I have ever had. He has saved my life more than once, and I absolutely love him. He takes the time to learn and understand his patients' needs, providing the most effective treatments. I have tried several 'well-known' doctors, but none have been able to keep me stable like Dr. Baraco. He diligently researches and seeks to understand the illness. I have referred him to many people.
