Dr Gomoll is a wonderful physician. He takes his time, is highly articulate and responsive as well as thorough. Not too many like him.

Dr. Gomoll is simply the best. I am very grateful that he was able to see me and perform my operation. I had a very complex knee injury that has really caused me a great deal of pain, stress, and anxiety. I was scared that I would not be able to do the activities I love and am passionate about. I love to surf, travel to different waves around the world, and have a young daughter whom I want to be actively present in her life for many years. No other doctor I've seen made me feel confident about having answers and a path towards this. Dr. Gomoll instantly explained each aspects of his surgical approach and all of the different options. The part that really sold me that he was the surgeon I needed was that he was not even remotely fazed by the complexity or numerous procedures being performed. One of the other medical professionals before surgery said it best, "This is his theater." You could see his passion and expertise. This made me so confident in his ability to get the job done.

He is simply the best — not only because of his experience and skill, but because of his interpersonal qualities: empathy, careful listening, thoughtful analysis, and the ability to explain medical terminology in a way patients can truly understand. I simply trust him to always do his best for me.

I was very nervous about my surgery and whether I was making the right decision to have a specific part of the proposed combined procedure done. Dr. Gomoll took time to discuss with my husband and me the pros and cons of only doing one part of the initially proposed two-part combined operation. Having time to talk it through with him in the pre-op area, combined with his compassion, helped put me at ease during a very stressful time.

Dr. Gomoll and his PA really took the time to listen to my concerns and intricately go over each aspect of my complex knee injury. They ran additional tests on site to ensure the right surgical decision was made that would help me return to doing the things I love. He was confidently ready with a variety of solutions to repair and keep my natural knee. Dr. Gomoll and his PA really made me feel confident and comfortable to book a surgery that I've needed to get for years. I am very happy I made the trip to see him and would highly recommend his office and HSS to anyone.

Dr. Gomoll was fantastic. I traveled to NYC for a second opinion for a complex situation. Dr. Gomoll spent over 45 minutes looking over my imaging, listening to my concerns, and recommending a treatment plan.

Dr Gomoll spent quite a bit of time with me. He was very detailed & answered all my questions - and I had a lot of questions. I am confident he will do all he can to help me get back to some version of the lifestyle I had pre-injury. He has also been very helpful to insure I have all the information necessary to be an active participant in my recovery - answering my questions about diet, etc.

I sought second opinion and had an excellent experience. He explained everything clearly, was honest and direct, and took the time to answer all my questions without any pressure. Unlike the first provider, he truly listened to me-and made all the difference.

Dr. Gomoll was extremely impressive. This was the 3rd doctor I saw for my condition and he did an excellent job explaining my condition, his concerns, the pros and cons of different treatments, etc. He took into consideration not just the difficulty of the treatments but also the recovery and likelihood of positive outcomes.

I really appreciated speaking with Dr. Gomoll and not have to first talk to a PA. That meant that Dr. Gomoll was taking first hand information, which makes a huge difference as a patient. I felt he listened carefully amd with empathy. I didn’t feel rushed, which is huge in medicine nowadays. Thank you!

I finally felt heard, my pain validated and was provided with many options. I came to HSS for a second opinion after I ran into a HSS PA student randomly on the train and she recommended it (I told her I was looking for one but had no idea where to start). Looking forward to getting my mobility back!
