Al is a great doctor. We've been with him for over 12 years when the pediatrics department was over by Riverside. We are very sad to hear he will be retiring at the end of the year. He is wonderful with the kids, knowledgeable, and a great doctor overall. He doesnt rush you, takes time out of his day to see you on short notice when something comes up and can be seen the same day. I cant thank him enough for all he has done for our family in all of these years. I hate to have to find a new pediatrician for the kids, im not sure we can find another one like him. Thank you for all you do for not only my children, but all of his little patients.

I switched jobs and unfortunately have to switch insurance and this will be extremely difficult because there is no other pediatrician like Dr.Mendoa

He took time to understand the concerns and explain the treatment. He builds rapport well. He also seems to really enjoy his job and cares about his patients. I particularly like how up front he is about the child being his patient while still being respectful of the parent’s thoughts.
