I have no idea how skilled Dr. McLawhorn is as a surgeon, but I do know that my recovery has been eventless. Everything has been as he described or better. I equate results with skill and for me, Dr. McLawhorn has delivered excellent results and as such, has demonstrated excellent skill.

Dr. McLawhorn is very knowledgeable and has excellent fine motor skills, an exceptional skill you want in a surgeon. There is a beautiful piece of artwork on his office wall in Manhattan and the Office Coordinator told me that he drew it. So he is an exceptional artist as as well as a craftsmen who does high volume surgeries.

Meeting with Dr McLawhorn was a real pleasure, he discussed my condition in a calm and organized manner, answering all my questions and providing insights for the upcoming surgery. I really appreciated the transparency and the fact that Dr McLawhorn took time to discuss everything without rushing.

As a long-time patient of HSS who has undergone numerous surgeries over the years, I can say without hesitation that Dr. McLawhorn stands out. I have never met a physician who is so genuinely caring about his patients.

His patient-first approach ensures you never feel like "just another number" or rushed during an appointment. He takes the time to clearly explain both your condition and the necessary corrective actions in a way that is easy to understand.

I had my left hip replaced in 2022 by Dr McLawhorn and now I'm following up with Dr McLawhorn to replace the right hip. He is the best Dr in the world.

Dr. McLawhorn and HSS continually exceed my expectations. I have referred several friends to specialists at HSS.
