Dr Akhtar is excellent at communicating with her patients. She responds promptly when any questions are asked in the portal. She works with her patients on their health goals. She listens to her patient's needs and make decisions using her strong medical judgement. We are grateful to have Dr Akhtar as our endocrinologist.

Dr. Akhtar was smart, compassionate, and thoughtful. We have actually seen three different endocrinologist, trying to figure out what is going on with my child and by far Dr. Akhtar and the folks at Hopkins were the best. Even my daughter was impressed with how she explained everything to her and listened to her.

The doctor was very thorough and took time to hear our concerns. She clearly explained the blood work results of concern and explained what she was looking for during the physical exam. I appreciate her time, attention to detail, and ability to explain in understandable language.

Dr. Akhtar was absolutely incredible! My daughter has complicated health issues and we have been ping ponged around to multiple physicians who have not been able to help. On the contrary, Dr. Akhtar truly understood every aspect of my daughter's health challenges, and after just one visit proposed a plan that is already helping to turn the tide. I can't emphasize enough how impressed we were with her knowledge and caring approach. This was, hands down, the best experience that we have ever had with a physician. We feel so very lucky that we have connected with Dr. Akhtar!
