He could have gone for extra treatment such as esophageal echocardiogram or cardio version for A-Fib, but opted for increasing INR, a more benign less expensive, invasive approach.

In 2010 Dr. Ahsan was in the process of installing a cardiac stent when he realized that it would be inadequate, and would fail. He instead had me go to Iowa City where I underwent cardiac bypass surgery. In the years since he has installed 4 stents; and two years ago cleared a 95% blockage in one stent. I have been doing fine since then. I believe beyond a doubt that Dr. Ahsan and Iowa City surgeons have given me the last 16 years of life.

I contacted Dr. Maqsood's practice with concerns about chest tightness. I was given an appointment for the next morning. When I arrived, it was clear that Dr. Maqsood was having a busy day, but I was seen on time, and Dr. Maqsood did not rush any aspect of my appointment time with him; I was treated as well as if I had been his only appointment for the day. I really appreciated the concern and care I received on this visit.
