basic inguinal hernia surgery turned into a lymphocele infection nightmare complete with catheter, tube, bag & multiple medical procedures

The Dr was through with explainations, he listened to what I said and based on his knowledge and my input determined the procedure. His assistant had already been advised of the procedure changes and was very thorough in explanations and answers to questions. Both were friendly and personable.

I wish that it was easier to contact the clinic directly. Also, I feel rushed sometimes because I notice the provider looking at the watch or cutting me off while asking detailed questions. My time is just as valuable as their's, I wait months to get in to see them one on one, so I would appreciate a more genuine experience when meeting with them.

The doctor was amazing, patient, and kind. He sat down and talked with me (and my husband) about our choices. Explained everything on detail. Answered questioned. While we did discuss weight loss options, he was the first provider that I had who didn't make me feel bad about my weight. He was very understanding.

In particular, I appreciated the PA student, Madison, who did extensive preliminary interview with me prior to Dr. Parmar's consult. She was incredibly professional, thorough, and had outstanding interpersonal skills as well. She would be an asset to UAB when she finishes her coursework and training. Dr. Parmar was also very honest and allowed me the privilege of having a say in my care and decision to not have surgery. I was seen, listened to, and respected during the entire process.

Because they listened and thoroughly looked over my concern and felt I was needing surgery to correct my issue. They are getting me in quickly for surgery and they all treated me with respect and genuine concern. I greatly appreciate being treated with respect by a doctor and their staff and many times this does not occur but this MD and his staff are to be highly complimented for their respectful treatment of both me and my husband. Thank you.

The staff were very friendly and professional. The Doctor and the nurse were also very efficient in speaking with me about my situation and making sure I understood everything.
